Be honest, X-mark the spot please!

Whew! Graduation is an inspiring feeling for us who have gone through a lot of pressure.

Honestly speaking

Sometimes, regrets are for fools. We tend to fit in a certain situation even if we are not treated properly. Point taken in my case. I am fully aware that not all my opinions and stance is acceptable to my mates in Kuris. Though there are times they vocally tell me of my persistence to be brutally honest, behind the back of their minds, they knew I am not going to let the team fall apart. Each one of us is entitled with what we wanted to do with our life, we are artists with our own cause. After all, everything is defined by cause-and-effect premise.

Our struggle to stay as a group together didn't came so easily. It was a stressful effort to live up to our mentor's expectations, other people's perspective and passion for our craft. Yes, we may call ourselves now not only as artists but animators as well. Having the talent and skills to breathe life with our scribbles and doodling is something impressive for any ordinary individual. We don't boast as if we are good enough just because we've gone through almost a year of training in 2D animation. We still believe that we have so much to learn, to develop and explore with our gifts. Being special doesn't always come with privileges or exceptions from being average. Being special always comes with a price, a responsibility and a vision to fulfill. Part of those trials that we need to go through is the challenge of expanding not only our wisdom but our patience as well.

Yes, we admit that we are indeed amateurs. Some of us are even youngsters, unready and hesitant to take risk. But we always have each other not only to celebrate our little piece of success, enjoying the company of one another as if it would be the last gig we could have is a wonderful opportunity to express how we care for each other. In our group, we avoid calling someone as a boss and tried to scrap the bossy attitude of everybody. I always remind them that we need a fair share of task and opinions to make the team work out. And this blog is indeed a little space in the cyber realm that reminds us what we have been through and what we did for our passion, our dream of making something relevant in our little less significant life. We somehow knew that our little feat for the past year left a lasting significance in the mind of every Ilonggo who knew we are capable of achieving something.

Let's be sincere this time and admit that some commentators in this blog are those people we failed to impress. Some of them are those we've left behind along the way when things went rough and lost faith in our struggles. Some are good fellows from the start who shared their dreams with us but somehow expected too much. Some of them thought that we are perfect but we're not. We still keep on conquering our limitations and flaws. Some of these unanimous entities are watching our every step and tendencies to fail then used it against us. Some of them accused us of being fraud, shallow and talentless hiding behind some obvious masquerade. Some even thought that we are just one-hit wonders and after some little noise, the bubble will burst in thin air.

We don't hate them. In fact, we understand how they make life very challenging for us. This is a free country and the blessing of democracy is the freedom of expression. Not to mention that they make us stronger, better and see ourselves the way we haven't seen it in the mirror every day. You see, we can't please everybody. There should be a balance in life, in the universe. Call it the "yin and yang", heroes and villains (?), the opposing forces.

So if someone claims that we owe him a debt and is the cause of his vendetta against us. We respect his options but we must remind him that we don't have any written agreement to pay the debt he claimed to ever exist. I thought friends and partners should help each other until the project is done voluntarily. And the hypothetical theory of someone claiming we became filthy rich with that little animation event through our sponsors was a mere false conclusion. Yup, what we've got enough to save us to get through those hungry nights we spent together. Blackmailing is an obvious form of defense mechanism one should not consider in his campaign for justice (or should I say, unethical).

Another bunch of peeps are howling behind my back or our back. Time rewind--I recall it, they we're those peeps who flapped their mouth with filthy accusations against me in front of people one night. I can't forget that night. Though it may hurt a bit but behind my mind, I knew they started a something that would push me to crush their ego. They never knew what they started. Yes, I do admit truthfully that I said things first about them to a friend whom I thought as my friend. Well, it took time to realize that this friend is a part of a pack of wolves. Well, newsflash: we are fair and square now--I bit you, you bit me and I drained the trash bin. So where did the ego landed? I don't know maybe people forgot about the ego-trip.

There was this guy bloated with so much ego in the most shallow way. His claim for feat is less substantial. But the gut is awesome, truly exceptional I must say. He thought that he can play monkey and make-believe with the world around him all the time. Truth is, the claim for superiority among others and the awesome talent are all core of a plain "wishful thinkings" scheme enclosed in fake bubbles with the tendency to burst anytime soon. Too old, too fake for the fame he claims (and not to mention the blogging-libels he attempted to use in against us). Oops! game over, no blogging laws existed in this side of the planet.

His opposer/best-nemesis is big time Broadway actor too. He got sick of the fake guy's manipulating skills and demanded a "quo de etat". So when he succeeded in his scheme, he flaunted himself abruptly. Peeps thoughts he was good enough but we smell stinking ego. Now, why would he claim an artwork is his own when in fact he couldn't even draw a human face properly? He preached strongly of his opposition to the old guy's attitude of manipulation when he himself is slowly showing the same color of feathers. I bet they're both perfect to make a filthy feather duster, hehe. Indeed, he was even worse than the old guy and his manipulating skill is useless against my ego radar. Now who's still in "chain" with failures? Not me. Don't ask me, you disbanded the band you sowed with your ego. Your name wasn't even immortalized in yahoo search, hehe! (go, check it out for yourself).

It’s good when people wake up in reality.

It's me,
Hex

P.S-- frankly speaking, we've said what we haven't said before. It feels good to leave behind some excess baggage. World peace please!
